BMW Vario Cases

BMW Vario Cases

BMW Panted Expandable design of their durable Vario Cases have shown their strength in innovation. These Cases have the ability to expand and deflate the Side cases by 9 liters and the Top case by 10 liters in a matter of moments. With all three bags installed, grants you 75 - 103 liters of usable space!

These cases have a few subtle features, that create an ease of use on long road trips. With the given added option for a semi ridged inner liner, helps you utilize the space more effectively. Giving its usability similar to as of a suitcase, comes with an easy to use carry handle molded into the cases. Completing that with the ability to key your existing fob to the cases, reducing the amount of added worry and hassle.

With that a nice feature usually goes unnoticed. The Vario Cases do not require the bulky aluminum racking, that is hard mounted to the bikes sub frame. When the side cases are deflated they have a smaller width than the handlebars. Bringing an ease of mobility through off-roading and traffic. Once expanded they have an added reach of 5 inches each side.

There are few imperfections to note. The exhaust side case is bit harder to utilize the full potential of the space. We recommend using the case liners to assist in using the space properly and having personal and valuable items from falling out.

Even with their durable design, when off-roading in the expanded position, and a tip over landing on the cases occurs. There is the potential of breaking the inner mechanism and locking the cases permanently in that position. As well, when ridding is dusty or muddy situations. You have the possibility of getting mud or debris into the mechanism. In this case you must rinse off before deflation.

If you have the intention to do a lot of off-road, with the Vario Cases attached. We highly recommend getting the cases with the outer aluminum panel, allowing you more durability for off-road use (wait for the part 2, when we will review the BMW Aluminum Cases).
